Hi,

Sorry, I'm kinda lost where to post this topic at. Posted on "Other equipment" and "General Mobo" sections with no single response.

I'm keen to overclock my new upgraded system with above combo, have PII 940 currently running at 3.5Ghz everything default except multiplier with stock cooler.

Before I buy the cooler, I just want to make sure the TRUE does fit in the mobo + RAM (slot 3&4). I have measured the size of the heatsink and the distance on the motherboard, it seems pretty close... but I don't have the heatsink to try.

If you do know, please advise.

I have a TRUE. I cannot tell you, for certain, that the TRUE will fit your motherboard. But the RAM modules will fit under the HSF as long as they are less than 1.5 inches tall.

I may get the Coolermaster V8 (smaller size, yet pretty similar in performance).

Or anyone happy to give other alternatives?

I bought my TRUE before the Xigmatec HDT S-1283 was available. Tests indicate that its performance is very close to the TRUE, but its price is a little more than half that of a TRUE with a good fan.

If you decide on the Xig, don't forget the backplate.
