Hello,what is the best way to tell if you actually are in crossfire mode? I have one utility that says I am not in crossfire mode and the AMD Vision control panel says I am. I am running 2 Sapphire Vapor-X 4870 X2's with 2Gig DDR5 each. They have all the jumpers between the cards connected (I used both sets of connectors, one came with each and they both fit at the same time)

If the Vision control panel says you are then you are. You may be experiencing poor scaling in some games because the 3rd and 4th gpu's do not scale very well with older crossfire/sli setups. Use a program like 3d mark vantage to check your scores with crossfire turned on and off (you should be able to do that by checking a box in vision control centre I think).

Thanks, the offending utility has been purged. :0 It also said my velociraptor hd was spinning at 5400. CNet missed this one.
