GA-P35-DS3P 2GB RAM modules (and heatsink Q)

I am ready to pull the trigger- I know I'm getting the GA-P35-DS3P board and Quad6600 CPU. The only thing I still need is to figure out which RAM to get, because I want 2GB modules (2x2gb=4GB) to allow additional expansion later using an OS that supports >3.5GB. Also looking for any info on CPU coolers that fit this MB (rumor has it that some don't)

The supported RAM list only lists 2 2GB modules, and I'd like to find out if anyone is using any of the following and can verify that they work on this board:

OCZ 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 Model OCZ2P8004GK
A-DATA 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 Model ADQVE1B16K
CORSAIR 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 Model TWIN2X4096-6400C5 G
Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 Model PDC24G6400ELK
OCZ Vista Upgrade 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 Model OCZ2VU8004GK

All either show 555 timing or timing isn't listed but I think they are all 555. Also found modules by other companies that I've never heard of before, but I'd rather go with a known/reliable name brand. If no-one has specifically used these modules, any of these brands that I should lean toward (or away)?

Also any CPU cooler recommendations are welcome.

I have the same board, CPU and the Patriot 2x2gb of ram with Vista x64. Everything works just fine for me.

I'm using the Vista Upgrade 2x2 GB on GA-P35C-DS3R. I'd be very surprised if they didn't work on GA-P35-DS3P.

Do you need FireWire or Crossfire? If not, check out the GA-P35-DS3R. The DS3P is not that good for Crossfire anyway with one slot running at 4x.

I have the same mobo, Q6600 and Crucial Ballastix PC6400 444 with the Micron chip. Super fast memory. With rebates it was only $60 about a month ago. I also built a PC using the P35-DS3R, E4300 and OCZ Gold PC6400 555 memory. I overclocked the 1.8ghz cpu to 3.0ghz easily. The OCZ tagged right along just cruising fine!

I use firewire and like the bigger size of the DS3P which allows my huge Ninja to easily fit. With the DS3R smaller size, it was a hassle.

I undervolted both the Q6600 for a cool 25% OC and the E4300 even with the huge 67% OC.
