Please help a noob.

I am trying to run this mobo using two 250GB WD SATA drives in RAID0.

I am using the lowest numbered orange SATA headers on the board, created the RAID, set the BIOS to RAID and then RAID/IDE - - - when I do this, the machine will not boot, it simply hangs at the little green bars with the Microsoft copyright.

If I change the RAID/IDE to IDE the machine boots fine but I get some errors while running some programs.

Could you help me with the correct setup to run a RAID0 (Windows Vista Ultimate)?

I just installed this board yesterday and had a similar problem. I think I fixed it by changing the boot priority in the bios and putting CD higher than Hard Disk.

Try the purple Southbrige connectors. I had problems installing my sata hard drive on the northbridge side, my 320 GB hard drive would only show 127 GB in windows. Southbridge recognized it instantly.
