GA-X58A-UD5 on board Lan or separate NIC card?

Should i be using the on board Lan on the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 mobo or am i better off buying a separate NIC card and using that instead. I trade for a living and wasnt sure how good the onboard Lan is.

The on-board LAN chip works just fine. A separate NIC card would not give you any noticeable speed increase.

+1 for the onboard NIC.

You might want to think about a UPS Battery Backup unit.
