[SOLVED] ga-x79-ud3 rev 1.0

hi this is my first post so here goes....
I got this motherboard the other day and was just wondering is there any way you can get it to accept v2 processors it came with a e5 1620 but ive also got the v2 aswell but cannot get it to work.
Any help would be much appreciated

No.

The Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3 v1.0 - CPU Support List clearly shows that the E-1620V2 is not supported. The "Since BIOS Version" column shows "N/A" which means that CPU is not supported at all.
