GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 motherboard. Nothing on it removed all components. Don't even get the boot up screen. No POST. Brand new board

You have NO components installed? So you haven't got the CPU in ?

You need CPU (with HSF) and RAM to be able to boot properly. Removing RAM should still "boot" but give a memory error.

You need the processor, cooler for the processor and memory to even try to boot the PC into BIOS.

Agreed Zerk, this is what I'm saying. It will at least turn on, but you will encounter a memory error.

Unless by boot we specifically mean going into BIOS. I was using the term "boot" loosely. As I don't know if he's suggesting nothing turns on, or there is simply no display, and so on.

Which is why I specifically state "You need CPU (with HSF) and RAM to be able to boot properly."
