Question GA Z270X Gaming 7 Boot Loop

Jul 14, 2020
Hello, after updating my Bios to version F9e as specified on Gigabyte's manufacturer page. I had updated it using the @bios app. Upon updating, my computer will not post and will show code 4F. The LED was on M_Bios, and 10 seconds later, it does a random reboot and switches over to B_Bios. This repeats the remainder of the time the PC is left on. After investigating, I came down to two theories. The first theory, when I updated the Bios, it must've flashed B_Bios to the latest version as well, hence why B_Bios will not flash M_Bios. My second theory, the motherboard, doesn't have enough time for B_Bios to flash M_Bios. The video below shows the LED switch from the backup bios to the main bios, and it reboots immediately after. This could've meant that the bios was done flashing and was rebooting to save changes, but still. After having the Pc boot loop for 30 minutes, I saw no change. I have searched through Reddit posts and Gigabyte's forums. But sadly, almost all have the same solution. Either it's short-circuiting pins 1 and 6, or pins 4 and 7, or even holding the power button until it turns on and off, and then turning it back on again to be in the backup bios. I've also removed the CMOS battery and short-circuited the jumper for 10 seconds. None of these would work, and that is why I believe that my second theory is somewhat more possible. In this image from a Gigabyte forum, this user managed to "glitch" or "bypass" the backup bios long enough for it to flash. This relates to my second theory. Now, the user managed to do this successfully, but I am still cautious of bricking my motherboard. Any guesses or solution(s) to my problem?
