Will my motherboard GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 (1.0) support the following as the boot / OS primary drive?
My first upgrade choice would be:
1.) Using an Dual or single M.2 PCIE Adapter for NVMe SSD 1TB 500GB.
2.)PCIE Adapter for an SSD 1TB to 2TB
What would be the fastest transfer speeds supported?
Using the two methods above will I see transfer speeds greater than SATA 3 using PCIE.
Graphics card:
My PNY GTX 580 just blew up. I replaced it with a Asus GTX 1050Ti (this card is so much smaller) If I buy two will they run in SLI. I do not believe this card has an SLI bridge that goes on top of the card.
Processor:
Intel I7 2600k Memory speed is DDR3 1066/1333. Does this mean that my Corsair Ram cannot exceed this speed? This ram is rated at 1866MHZ

That is what I am trying to figure out.
For a board of that vintage, assume NO, unless you see specific info otherwise.

For instance, the most recent BIOS is from Feb 2012, and makes no reference to being able to boot from an NVMe drive.

Unless I had seen someone with that exact board do it, with specific details on how...assume No.

Additionally, a single NVMe drive won't really be that much better than a SATA III SSD.
You only really see the blazing speed increase when you are transferring data between 2 of those NVMe drives.
