hi i am planning to buy this ram. G.Skill Sniper F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR 8GB (2x4GB).. paired with an i5 4670k and a GA z87m-d3h mobo.. just want to ask if the mobo is compatible with the said ram.. as ive read on some forums that this mobo is kinda picky on rams.. and oh i cant find the ram model on the mobo's QVL

Solution

I found out everything was because of my wireless wifi adapter driver isn't compatible with windows 10
thanks by the way 😀
Hey there,

Yes the ram will be compatible with the 'GIGABYTE GA-Z87M-D3H' as it says in the specifications tab next to memory...

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory

Support for DDR3 3000(O.C.) / 2933(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.) / 2666(O.C.) / 2600(O.C.) / 2500(O.C.) / 2400(O.C.) / 2200(O.C.) / 2133(O.C.) / 2000(O.C.) / 1866(O.C.) / 1800(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 MHz memory modules

The ram you want runs at 1600MHz and the motherboard allows up to 3000 in overclocks but also allows 1600/1333 MHz which are standard memory clock speeds nowadays so the memory will work fine :)

Hope I helped 😀
