GA-Z97M-DS3h VS GA-Z97M-D3H

Im looking at purchasing either one of those two motherboard. i understand that DS3H does not support crossfire and the other does. One also, has more pci slots than the other.

Is thier any other major differences beetween the two boards for gaming purposes or any reason why one of the would perform better than the other?

also, wondering if labels such as x4 ,x8 bandwith for pci slots have any impact on gaming performance.

The D3H supports Crossfire, has one more PCI x16 2.0 slot, one more USB 2.0 header, two more case fan headers, and three more audio jacks. Those are the only differences.

Yes, I would recommend the D3H model. It has more fan headers to provide better cooling and can support two graphics cards if you want to upgrade in the future. This model will not necessarily improve gaming performance, but it will prevent your components from overheating by having more fan headers (You must use all of the case fan headers for best cooling).
