So now that everything else is running I finally got back to installing the addition 2 sticks of memory. When I go from 16gb (2x8) to 32g (4x8) I'm getting a code C0 error on the debug LED. This code is not contained in the manual or any Gigabyte documentation.

Memory is GSKILL F3-2400C10Q-32GTX R (newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231590&cm_re=GSKILL_F3-2400C10Q-32GTx-_-20-231-590-_-Product)

Searching on the web shows some mention of this issue with a possible resolution of changing the memory voltage to 1.7v from 1.5v. I tried this to no avail.

Currently running at 16GB but need to get the other 16GB installed for Solidworks.

Thanks in advance!

I have tested each individually and mated with another (test below)

#1 only - good
#2 only - good
#3 only - good
#4 only - good
#1 & #2 - good
#1 & #3 - good
#1 & #4 - good
#2 & #3 - good
#2 & #4 - good
#3 & #4 - good
#1 & #2 & #3 & #4 - regardless of bank order - fails to boot with a C0 error code

Also I verified that the motherboard is set to 1.65v in the BIOS. I have the other machine at work that matches this machine so I will do some testing with swapping of RAM between the machines to see if it changes. I get the feeling it is a BIOS setting but I cannot locate it and the lack of documentation on this setup issue amazes me.

yes. Did that when I first started. Should've posted that. sorry for the oversight.

I remember having this same issue with the other machine when I built it but cannot remember the setting I had to change in the BIOS. (as I get older I find myself having "sometimers disease :( )

I'll go through with the other machine and through process of elimination I'll find it. Based on what I see on the web this is a common issue. Hopefully when we get to the bottom of it this can be a resource for others.

Appreciate the all the input
