Has anyone got a 6800GT to work with this motherboard?
M/B= Ga7va ver 1.0 (kt400 chipset)
Ive just bought INNO 3D from dabs and it wont install, even showing
screen corruption in the bios screen before windows loads etc..

Cant find any compatibilty issues on the web.

Updated via drivers etc.. doesnt make a difference (since corruption
occurs before windows anyway)
I am running a 9700pro with no probs (agp 8x).
Tried AGP4x and disabling fast writes (sometimes an issue)
The m/b bios is latest (F9.)
Plugged power connector in.
Power supply=antec 480w therefore cant be a power issue.

system: win xp pro, athlon xp2600 1Gig ddr333.

Any help greatly appreciated.

ps Card was bought as used but working. I suspect that dabs have not
checked it when it was previously returned, but would like to rule out
everything else first.

I also has an Inno3D 6800GT 256M DDR3 that works wonderful with my
8IK1100 Rev.2.

Try to re-sit your Videocard into the AGP slot for a few times as I
have a feeling that the contacts between your card and the slot is no
good.

Inno3D is a good card and I can o/c it from 350MHz/1G to 400MHz/1.1G
in the first attempt. The GPU temp after running OpenGL and D3D for
some time is only 75C using the default cooling fan on the card.

It was the card that was faulty.

Tried another 6800GT from a friends system, (a Leadtek A400 with huge
copper heatsink-but essentially the same card) and fired up no probs,
install drivers and every thing, so it wasnt a compatibility issue...
Seems as though DABS didnt check the card when it was returned
previously!

Thank you for your advice though...its a piece of info that may be
useful in the future.!
I will return it as DOA...
