[SOLVED] gainward geforce® gtx 1080 ti golden sample refresh rates

I have this Graphic card
gainward geforce® gtx 1080 ti golden sample

And i cant get more than 60 hz on my monitor that is 165 HZ Display Port

And after reading the manual i got shocked reading it only support 60 hz at 1440p and 85 hz at 1080p.
I use display port cable.
If so i kinda wasted 600 buck on a high refresh monitor.
Can someone confirm this?

The monitor determines the refresh rate.

DP will do 144hz depending on the Monitor.

Did you read the manual?

DP only supports 144hz.

HDMI is 60 hz only.

And you have to enable turbo mode to set the refresh rate.

And in the G-Force drivers scroll down to set the resolution and refresh rate in the PC section for the monitor.

This is my options and the turbo only shows 60 HZ.

Maybe i am missing something i dont know.
I tried to make a custom resolution via Nvidia Control panel at 85 h, 100hz, 120h, and 144 hz Every time the monitor turns black and i must restart pc pnly to have 60 hz again.

Sounds like the cable to me.

What cable are you using?

Is it new and latest specs, has to be the latest spec DP cable. (You can't just use any whatever cable.) Yes I know good ones aren't cheap.

The one that came with the Monitor?

I dunno, never heard of that brand.
