To all you video card nuts out there (I'm reasonably ignorant in the area, so I always appreciate some "expert advice"), I have a question for you. On pricewatch.com, I managed to find a Gainward GF4 Ti4200 (with no TV out) for $159 here Atacom. Do you think this is a good deal? The $160 or so is about the maximum I was going to spend, so no recommendations for amazingly expensive cards, thanks. The fall-back is an ATI R8500 (64MB) retail, which is a bit cheaper at $133 or so. Thanks for any advice!

I was looking at newegg.com and I found that Gainward Ti4200 64MB for $159USD. The peculiar thing is that it comes with 3.5ns RAM?? That's quite amazing. It doesn't include a TV-OUT and doesn't have dual monitor capability so if that's something you want, then it's not a good choice. If not, then this may be the card for you. That 3.5ns RAM means rated RAM speed of nearly 575MHz!! That's 75MHz faster than the 500MHz of the reference Nvidia cards. Plus you'll probably get it to 600MHz at least.

My firewall tastes like burning.
