This has had me stumped and aggravated for quite a while.
Dell XPS 8700
Win 10 19045..........and previous versions.
My PC is set to NOT go to sleep, to NOT hibernate and the display does not even go off I manually turn off the monitor. Yet after several hours to a day of not being used all my joysticks, and gaming peripherals just stop responding and are unrecognized. This includes a Fanatec wheel, Razar keypad, Saitek X-52 Pro, Thrustmaster F-16 Cougar MFD panels. They can be left in an on state even connected to their own software programs, or turned off after use but going back and turning back on and they will simply stop responding.
The F-16's will still show in control panel - hardware list but state they have been disabled
But the enabled button is greyed out.
If a peripheral was not even plugged in and I am in this state and I plug it in it will not be recognize either. It just seems the PC stops all communications with joysticks and wheels and other other gamming stuff.
Most are plugged into the same USB 3.0 hub but it does not matter no matter where they are plugged in I get the same non-responsiveness.
My Logitech mouse and keyboard use their USB plugs dongle thingy's and the continue to work.
I have gone through device manager and checked every possible device to make sure the allow PC to control the power management to OFF and even in other device manager sections trying to find something being turned of and the setting in over all power settings so the PC is not supposed to turn anything off.
The ONLY solution is to reboot which means at least every other day.
And ideas out there?
