Game crash and shutdown

Recently I build a new rig and using windows 8.1
It has 2TB and i transfer all my old games ( about 20 games 300GB) to my new computer.
But when i launched the game , i can be started when i play for sometime , it freeze and crash and require me to shutdown (AC Freedom Cry), some more serious, when i just click to option it freeze (Total war rome 2) . Why the problem is here ? Is that there is unproper install or because of so many games (old drive dont crash even a lot of game)
Please help !

If you were running a different OS in your old computer, like Win7 and such, and just copy/pasted the data files and save info to the new drive running Windows 8.1, that would certainly give you issues running the games.

Or, if you just transferred the old drive to the new computer as a second hard drive and have a separate drive running Windows 8.1 and then are attempting to run the games from the old hard drive, then that also will give you issues when running the games.

In my opinion, the thing to do is save the save game files, re-install the games, and then transfer your save game files to the proper folder under Windows 8.1.
