Game crashes after GPU upgrade

I just bought a used XFX RX 480-4G and after i installed it, games started to crash intermittently after some play time. I'm not too sure what the issue is, so far I have uninstall/install amd driver with DDU, monitor temps on CPU and GPU and i don't see any irregulars. Additional info: I initially go error 43 with the gpu and had to patch it with atikmdag-patcher-1.4.6

Was the 480 used for mining? If so, that would probably be the issue.

What was your GPU before?
Are you sure the PSU is not faulty?
Can you swap over the Power Connectors?
Also you could try and install some older Drivers instead of the latest, sometimes there is just a bug. I would recommend 18.5.1 for very stable drivers.

the guy the sold me said he uses it for a couple months, didn't specify if it was for mining or not

I don't know if the PSU is faulty enough without hardware to test it, but it's been working perfectly fine before this upgrade. My old card was visiontek r9 280x. I have 18.5.1 right now.

Rx480/580 were popular for mining and most miners would swap them every few months. Where did you purchase the card. I would try to get my money back if possible

I'm contacting the seller to see if he used it for mining. I didn't think he did since the GPU temp wasnt very high

He said no mining
