Had a good Friday at Blenheim, got a new (2nd hand) gun, renewed
subscriptions (free gin!!)& met up with people I only see once or twice
a year. Couldn't get near the Turner Richards stand as it they were
about 5 deep there. Didnt win the Shooting Times gun but managed to blag
a goody bag! The GCT fashion show was a stunner...mini skirt kilts,
arrrgh!!!!! With the good weather the Totty count was high! Oh to be 21
again! Robin Page in good form..." while ever the RSPB won't admit to
culling vermin, I'll keep eating their strawberries and cream"! and not
a labour MP to be seen. John Bidwells shooting show as amusing as ever,
puts a new slant on making coleslaw!
After John Bid well's show was the celebrity flushes for charity. Dolls
Head of the day goes to Vine Jones. After the instruction to unload was
given, he thought it amusing to continue to shoot at the balloons left
from John Bid well's show. Not once but twice! He really shouldn't be
let near a gun! After his escapade on the plane last year, I HOPE they
took his licence off him! A real ambassador for shooting NOT! Still, its
was all for CHARIDEE!
Only managed to see about half of the show. I'm up for two days next
year, and might even shoot the clay line.
If you didn't go, you don't know what you missed..

Went up on Thursday night, stayed until Sunday evening, still wasn't long

It was all work though, didn't enjoy it at all...

One of many highlights this year was the traffic management. We arrived
about 0630 on the Friday and drove straight in. Leaving in the afternoon
and travelling south was also a pleasure.
The lowlight was the mobile phone access, when trying to locate friends
or pass on news. We saw the extra mobile mast that had been provided,
but even the credit card machines at the entrance gate were having
trouble maintaining a connection.
