Question Game FPS??

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice as to what to do/try before i waste any more money.

My issue is: the below:

TLDR; the only game I play is League of legends, occasionally the rest is browsing, youtube etc. I don't get on the PC THAT Often.

Within the last three weeks or so i've started to notice the FPS drop quite steadily that is really starting to get worse and worse and i'm unsure what to do to fix it.

Things i've tried so far:

  • Complete OS reinstall
  • Latest Graphic card drivers
  • Optimisation via settings. i.e. power mode max, nvidia settings to performance etc.

The problem is: When i first load into a league game I have like 300+fps (If uncapped), lately I've been using Vertical sync to try and de-load the stress onthe CPU as it seems to cope better been maxed out on 165fps (using 165hz monitor).

While playing the game, i will stay at 165 fps fine for a bit, then suddenly it starts to drop, decline and lag-stutters. Like will idle around 150-160. then 150-140.. then kinda just roam inbetween, CPU never raising temp, or %, GPU same, plenty of spare memory.. there's just no explanation.

Since this issue occured I have replaced my CPU Heatsink with Hyper 212 evo as i did notice my CPU temp was a tad high like 40-50 with not much going on, which now idles more 25-35, and playing 40-50.

Updated my RAM to 2 16gb 3200 mhz Crucial ram sticks
Cleaned PC out thoroughly, all dust removed.

Here is my CPU-Z validate details.

PLEASE ANY TIPS? IS MY CPU DEAD?

full system spec? include brand and model of the psu
how full is the storage?
Hi,

Basically empty as its currently on a fresh OS reinstall

Are those specs not in the CPU-Z validate information?

Sadly, am unsure what the PSU is :S i imagine a standard one as i bought from PCSpecialist sale.
