Question Game freezes for a few seconds

I'm using a new Lenovo Ideapad Flex 15 to play GTA V and Destiny 2 (no external monitor, just on my laptop). Even if I play offline, every 10 seconds the games freeze for a few seconds. I am unable to control it, while the sound continues (if it's music). Other sounds (glass breaking) play on repeat during this duration. I have 16 gb memory, 512 gb SSD.

Graphics card: 2GB NVIDIA GeForce MX230 discrete Graphics
OS: Windows 10
Why is my "gaming" laptop doing this and how can I fix it?

check cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
ram/ssd usage during the game?
