Question Game freezes in the middle of gameplay without an error message

My game, nuclear throne keeps freezing in the middle of gameplay without an error message. It happens during random times. So far i haven't been able to find a single solution for this problem. I click "wait for program to respond" and it still doesn't work.

It only started happening yesterday and i'm not sure how to down grade it since it is a prebuilt and i'm afraid that will [mess] up something. I also tried earlier versions like update 91 but that still doesn't help.

The game is from Steam. Nuclear Throne. I have also tried the gog release and it gives me the same issue.

Currently the cpu is at 20% and the gpu is at 20%

No, i just got it a couple of days ago. Brand new. I scanned using spyhunter 4 and there isn't any malware

When playing the average is 43 for the cpu, and the average is 37 degrees celcius for the gpu

I'm guessing the issue is unsolveable, it has something to do with the game. I can't run this game on my pc anymore. It's too unplayable.

I sort of fixed it by deleting the save data for the game. It still freezes up, but it doesn't stop responding permeanty anymore and i can back to the game if i wait.
