sorry guys if i posted this on wrong forum but wanted to know if it's cpu or gpu issue

i just installed crysis to play and test out if my intel core 2 E6600 can handle the game play and it did which made me happy but when i tried to play it on one screen and my 2nd monitor which lcd plasma tv with a movie with windows media my game felt kinda laggy and also when i made the game screen almost full size monitor like 1600x 1--- i can't remember which one.. i had color distortion issues like i couldn't see what where i was going or who i was shooting but had no problem with color it seems when i have it at the normal size the game originally gave me. and yes i also have color issues for star craft on windows 7 ultimate. will i have to deal with this?? only way i can fix the color issue is if i turn off the taskbar which i canno turn back on afterwards unless i restart or log off and log back on

i donno if it's the cpu or the GPU im thinking i should just wait till i get my i7 920 computer with the radeon 5770 1 gb gpu and see how it goes on that computer??
about the lag can it handle both movies on one screen and the other monitor game such as crysis??

I'm not surprised that it would be laggy but you didnt tell us what GPU or any other system components other than the CPU.

It's a strange problem and does seem hardware related. New hardware would definitely not get this issue. So if you are getting a new computer, I guess you can not worry about it if you don't want to.

The answer to your last question is yes, of course. The real question though is "What settings can I play crysis on at XXXX*XXXX resolution while running two movies in the background on another screen? The answer is not best. Even the 5970 will struggle on best settings depending on resolution and AA.

i think my GPU is 4550 512 mb
but definitely 512 mb
