Game lag on pc

I have been playing pes 17, sleeping dogs, assassin's creed etc for a year now without any issues...
But recently all these games have started to lag a bit...
Once i had solved this problem by reinstalling the graphic card drivers.
But this problem occured again
What could be the possible reason for such a issue?

Specs
Windows 7 64bit
Ram 4gb corsair vengeance
Gpu AMD R7 250
Psu corsair 550 volts

It's tough to help you. I have no idea what 'lag a bit' means. Did you lose 2fps off your average or did your average drop to half of what it was? What is 'a bit' to one person might be 'a lot' to someone else.

An R7 250 is not exactly a powerful card, so I'm wondering how good performance was to begin with. Then you have 4gb system ram, that could be part of the issue. I gamed with 4gb on Win 10 for a long time, when I added another 4gb it smoothed out more games than I thought it would. Framerate didn't increase, but the occasional hitch or stutter in framerate was gone, which made everything feel smoother.
