Game lag/stuttering after 1 hour of gameplay only for 1 specific game.

Hello,

Recently I started playing Lost Ark. After about 1 hour of game play I start to get fps drops, then sound starts to cut out, and then finally latency jumps through the roof. When this happens in game, the same thing happens to my entire computer. Youtube video and sound gets choppy and eventually cuts out. Discord sound cuts out as well. But as soon as I close the game, everything goes back to normal. I can load the game back up and it will work perfectly fine for a full hour until it happens again.

The weird thing is that this only happens for Lost Ark. I can play WoW, Overwatch, Diablo 3, Destiny 2, and Starcraft 2 for countless hours with no problems. I even played Lost Ark while playing WoW at the same time. When the computer started lagging out, all I had to do was close Lost Ark and my entire WoW and computer experience went back to normal.

I have monitored my temps for the full hour until this starts to happen.

CPU Load: 50% Temp 48C
GPU Load: 80% Temp 64C max
Memory: 8gig used/16gig
MB Temp: 29C

System specs:
AMD FX 8350
HIS AMD Radeon 7850 HD
16 gig Gskill ripjaw 1866 ram
256 gig Samsung SSD
1 TB WD HD 7200rpm

1 thing to note, I play WoW from my SSD but Lost Ark is loaded to my HD. However, Destiny 2 and Overwatch both run fine on the HD.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Can't believe I didn't check this. However, I looked at it today. GPU is 256 bit and has 2 gig GDDR5. While playing the game for the full hour the VRam hovered between 1500-1620 MB. Even when the lag started happening.

I did notice that the GPU Load started dropped significantly about 10 minutes for everything starts stuttering from on average 70% load down to 25% load. Voltage stayed at a constant 1.138V

All drivers are up to date. I checked everything again recently. There was a new AMD driver. I installed it, but it didn't help. Thanks for your reply though.
