game lagging fix

guys i have a laptop with a 2gb nvidia graphics and an intel 15 2.6 ghz processor with a 4 gb ram. but despite all of this i am unable to get an optimal gaming performance. what do i do to solve the problem ? and by problem i mean games like rise of tomb rider and far cry 4 lags like hell. please help
