Hello all,
I've been having this problem for quite some time now (about a year). I've tried re-installing the OS - Windows 7,8 & 10 and continue to have the same problem on all the three.
Here's my computer config.
-Intel i7 6700k Unlocked 4.2 GHz
-Asus Maximus Ranger Mobo
-Corsair Vengence 16GB x2 RAM
-MSI GTX 1080 8 GB GDDR5X Gaming X version.
-Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB SSD Hard Drive - has the OS installed.
-Seagate 1 TB SATA HDD Barracuda Internal 7200RPM 3.5" Hard Disk - Has all my games & Videos.
-Cooler Master Seidon 120v CPU Water Cooler
-NZXT H440 Cabinet - Designed by Razer
And it certainly shouldn't have anything to do with my Internet or the router. I have my network running at 75 MBPS connection speeds and the router is a brand new D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N 300 Router that's hooked to the computer.
I mostly play Dota 2 on Steam. I have this trouble mostly when selecting the in-game menus but lately, I've been having trouble with lower frame-rates within the games too.
Could it be a trouble with the Hard Drive? Since the OS is installed on the SSD, I'm assuming that it shouldn't interfere with the way the game functions. Please help.
Thanks,
Sai
