Question Game lags regardless of high FPS ?

I have a 144hz display, and game(Rocket League) feels like its at around 70-100fps, though in stats it doesn't dip below 300fps. Sometimes it stops lagging randomly and everything is smooth. I tried messing around with every setting, v-sync doesn't help, RivaTuner's scanline sync doesn't help. Not sure what it could be, maybe faulty hardware. Would appreciate support.

GeForce GTX 1660, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB ram (more than enough for RL), Win 10

depends on the time of day, but mostly stable, around 60. I also lag in freeplay(singleplayer), so I don't think network is the issue

What are your CPU and GPU temps while gaming? Make sure you're on latest chipset and BIOS for the motherboard.

GPU around 48 °C
CPU around 65 °C
