Hello folks, I would like to know if there are "classless" or "levelless" similar to how Skyrim levels skills through usage available for me to play on PC, be it online or single player.

Only games I found through Google was Ultima Online and/or Repopulation. There's a mod called "Practice makes Perfect" in Fallout: New Vegas that does what I wanted. And that's about it. I think Project Zomboid does a similar thing, but I'm not too sure.

What I would prefer is that the character will get better as you use that skill, sort of like Skyrim's skills, like if you craft something; crafting level goes up, if you sneak around; sneaking level goes up, etc etc.

Thanks in advance!

Well Dragon Age has the skill point system where the character gets better in an ability due to skill points, what I would prefer is that your character will get better as you use that skill, sort of like Skyrim's skills, like if you craft something, crafting level goes up, if you sneak alot, sneaking level goes up, etc etc.

I'll check out Dark Souls and Witcher and edit the question for further clarification, thanks for the suggestion.

No prob

I own all M&B games(except for Viking Conquest), I'm a big fan of M&B.

As mentioned, the Witcher 1&2 does have an open skill system. You do not choose a class, and nothing is locked due a class other than needing to meet some requirements for a skill. DA most definitely locks you into classes. Divinity: Original Sin has no restrictions based on classes. There are some prebuilt characters which have a class label, but you can still pick any skills you want, but the skills are influenced by character stats, so you will likely want to focus on different skill sets based on the stats you choose (or the other way around).

In Dark Souls, you level up your stats using souls that you collect from killing enemies/using items. Your skills don't "progress" in any way whatsoever, the only way your skills get better is by spending the souls required to upgrade said stats. The Witcher doesn't quite work similarly to Skyrim either, it's somewhat close to Dark Souls except you're spending perk points (earned by leveling up) and you're spending those points on fairly linear skill trees (goes for both games.)

The other Elder Scrolls games (particularly Oblivion) are the closest you will get to a Skyrim-like leveling system. The games others have suggested are definitely amazing games and are worth a playthrough (or two 😉) don't quite have the same leveling system as Skyrim.

None of them are the same as Skyrim, but there are different systems that don't lock your skill choices by classes like many other games do. The Witcher does not have a class system, neither does a few other games (I don't know about dark souls).

Dude that is exactly the reason why Skyrim is so good. I don't think you will find games like that unless someone else copies it.

Well, as stated in my main post, Repopulation does it pretty well in regards to skill. I was just really hoping that there will be other games similar to the leveling system like Skyrim and Repopulation. It's truly interesting, and allows you to actually feel the reward from leveling up, unlike in other games where you kill X amount of enemies so you can barter a better price with the merchants or knows how to steal better.

On the side note, I've checked out your PC games list, do you actively update it?
