Ok, so maybe I was a bit quick off the mark, but...

I went to the Post Office on Friday 30th July and asked if they had any Game
Licenses in stock. Off toddled the lady and back she came with a booklet of
Licenses.

I wasn't going to buy one at the time because I thought the yearly license
needed to be stamped on or after Aug 1st to be valid until July 31st 2005.

Before she started writing, I asked about this and was assured that the
license was valid for a full year until July 31st 2005, even though the
"31st July next following" could be construed as the next day.

I bought the license, hoping it was Ok, but now I'm not too sure. What's the
you take on this?

Is the license valid until 31st July 2005 or 2004?

cheers,

Rudi.

I believe the licence is valid until the following 31st of July so if you
bought it on the 30th of July it lasts one day. I may be wrong but I don't
think so. I suggest you go back and ask them to cancel it and get a new one.
Cheers, Norman.
