Game load lag in WoW

Hi, so I'm having some issues when running WoW on my computer. None of my other games have this issue. Occasionally when I click on something or something new pops up onto my screen, my game drops all frames for about 300ms. I run the game at roughly 200FPS on 7 settings. I've had this problem with multiple GPUs and never had a solution. Any ideas?

Disable all your addons, for starters, to make sure that isn't causing a problem. Since the 7.0 patch, some addons have been causing FPS issues. NPC scan is one that I have seen labeled as a culprit, for instance.

DPS meters like Skada and Recout are causing Fps problem too.

i have the same issue with my rig, wich is "overkill" to play wow.

Yea, many would consider mine overkill as well. My 780ti isn't all that much slower, than your 980.
