Question Game locks at 60fps when on fullscreen?

Everytime I turn full screen mode on and use v-sync/adaptive sync, my game locks at 60fps.
I would be happy to play on windowed borderless as it correctly caps my fps at 82 (my monitors refresh rate) but every 5 seconds the game would feel sluggish and not feel smooth for a couple of seconds, although staying at 82fps.

This has only started happening today with Apex Legends. This was not happening the days before today where I was playing Apex Legends just fine...I then decided to try a few other games and they all seem to cap at 60fps if I have full screen mode on with vsynce/adaptive sync.

Any ideas?

Okay I've just turned off it's BS optimisation setting, let me give it a go and report back. Thanks

Nope, still same issue.

I figured it out. For some reason my monitors driver got corrupted and all I had to do was reinstall the driver.
