I'm game, har har. One thing, set a rcon password on the sever, email it to
me, and I'll help keep your server free of dorks. I'll do the same for any
trusted person on the group when I run a server.

I'm thinking about running a server. I have a spare computer and plenty of
bandwidth. I'm on a Comcast cable modem. Does anyone know if running a game
server will violate their TOS?

It probably does, but they have bigger fish to fry. I'm on Comcast and
occasionally run a co-op server for about 4 people for a maximum of about 12
hours at a time. Games include Q2, Unreal and Doom (ports). I've done this
over the past 5 years and haven't heard a peep from Comcast. It doesn't
take up a lot of bandwidth.

they don't worry about occasional servers. It is permanent 24/7 servers that
they don't like

It was an accident, but a pretty cool one. I did not mean to exclude
anyone. Just typed the wrong thing in the console.

Shogo,

Did it ask for a password when you tried?

In gamespy there was a red x and it didnt show any data for the server, just
that it was there.
