Game problem

For some reason my TS2 is acting weird all of a sudden.... there's a 50%
chance that the lot I want to load just gets stuck at the loading screen and
if I do manage to load the lot, I can't play because time won't go by.
Doesn't matter which speed I select, it's always 8am and of course my sims
don't move at all.

Is it possible that I downloaded something that may have caused this? Are
there any programs that can check for bad files perhaps? Or does anyone
know of a different reason why this might happen? I already checked my
computer's free disk space because at first I thought there just wasn't
enough memory to load it anymore, but 19 gigs should be fine.

Not really looking forward to re-installing.... 🙁

Mine had done this same thing and it ended up being more than a few bad
objects, I ended up having to seperate my downloads and put a few in a time
and start the game, it was a time consuming task but it worked after
removing 20 something objects. But it was my only solution to being able to
keep most of my downloads and still have my families etc. without
reinstalling.
Hope this helps.

You should use the Sims2Pack Installer. It will bring up duplicates (in
pink) and hacks (in red) which is a good place to start from. It may do
the trick. I cannot recall where I downloaded it from (maybe mts2?) so I
would just do a google search, I am postive it would send you in the right
direction.

Good luck!

Well, I tried all the things suggested here, but ended up reinstalling
University anyway. I backed up all my downloads, neighbourhoods and saved
sims and it all works perfectly again now 😉
