Game Question

First of all, PC specs.

CPU - Intel Core i3 6100 @3.7GHz
MoBo - Gigabyte H110M-S2H
RAM - 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 HyperX Fury Black
GPU - Sapphire Radeon RX470 4GB WITH newest driver
HDD - WD Caviar Blue 320GB 7200RPM
HDD - Samsung 250GB 7200RPM
OS - Windows 10 Pro

So here's the deal... I downloaded the game from The Pirate Bay because I'm cheap so Steam won't help, and the game runs perfectly fine on max, fullscreen etc. I use a joystick to play just because I'm used to playing Lego games from back in the day when PS2 came out. It runs perfectly fine but then after about 20 minutes of stable gameplay, the game freezes for a second and just crashes straight to desktop, doesn't even give me an error message. I've searched online and it seems a lot of people have this problem as Lego games aren't well optimized for PC's. I've put the DX version to 9 as I saw people saying it's better for gaming but it didn't help. I saw someone also played with DX9, windowed, borderless mode and so I tried that too, but that didn't help either. Then I saw someone saying that turning off anti-aliasing solved the problem, but it didn't help. Game still crashes after about 20 minutes, or at the point when crossing the bridge as Hulk and Iron Man, or it crashes when I defeat the first stage as Thor and Captain, which still turns out to be about 20mins. I would try playing with a keyboard but I can't get used to it, although I doubt that's the problem. Any help is gratefully accepted. Thanks in advance.

Thing is when it's a pirated version.... There could have been an update to fix stability issues released the day after whoever posted it. You wouldn't get that update without steam updates. ...Or whoever posted it could have screwed something up in the cracking process. You get what you pay for. But don't get me wrong sometimes you pay for it and it still crashes. It could very well be your hardware though, but if other games run fine.......
