Hello Everyone,

This issue has recently begun, every time i play a game for a few minutes, my game just crashes. Every time I check event viewer, its always a different error code.

  • I've installed a new PSU,
  • My PC parts aren't over heating,
  • I reinstalled Windows (clean wipe),
  • All my drivers are up to date.

I have no idea what to do anymore. Im including two photos of my monitoring a second before my last crash, during a stress test. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

So, could be that one of your RAM sticks is toast. To validate it, run memtest86.
Link: https://www.memtest86.com/

Guide to install and use it: https://www.memtest86.com/tech_creating-window.html

1 full pass (all 15 tests) is bare minimum. 2 full passes are better while 4 full passes is considered acceptable.

Since it takes a while, best to let it run overnight.
1x 8GB ~1h per 1 full pass. ~4h for 4 full passes.
2x 8GB ~2.5h per 1 full pass. ~10h for 4 full passes.
2x 16GB ~5h per 1 full pass. ~20h for 4 full passes.

If there are no errors - RAM is sound.
If there are errors - replace the RAM.

For absolute testing of RAM, 32 full passes are needed (due to test #7).

But no-one in their right mind is going to do 32 full passes, since it takes forever + then some. Especially when you have a lot of RAM in the system. Consensus in the tech support is that 4 full passes are enough.

Also, looking from the net suggested malware infection. So, run AV scan as well. E.g MalwareBytes free version,

PSU 1000w seasonic
Model name is? And do you bought it as brand new or used/refurbished?

With PSUs, model name is also important. Else-ways, i can say that my PSU is 650W Seasonic and good luck on guessing which one exactly.

I've installed new PSU
Old PSU make and model (or part number) is? Also, how old the old PSU is, and was it bought new or used/refurbished as well?

Hey, thanks for getting back to me. I downloaded memtest.
There’s no real options on it so when I run it, I just run test. 4 passes.
Currently I’m at 8h in, 3rd pass is at 91%. First 2 passes and we’re 0 errors. I ran this same test last night but when I woke up the pc was reset and I couldn’t find results anywhere.
How do I run more than 4 passes?
I have 64gb ram, Do you think removing two sticks out and testing two, and keep swapping it to see if any stick is defective?

I’ve ran virus scans on my pc a couple of times & nothing shows up.

I ran an 850 seasonic for a while with this build with no issues, I thought it was my psu so I bought a brand new Seasonic USA FOCUS V4 GX-1000 1000 Watt 80 Plus Gold.

My old psu was the same just 850.

I’m super confused, if it’s not my ram I’m back to square one, not sure what’s going on.

Thank you for your help.

I don't think it's PSU issue since both are good quality units.

Btw, i have Seasonic PRIME 650 80+ Titanium [SSR-650TD] PSU.
I have actually 2nd one too: Seasonic PRIME TX-650 [SSR-650TR] powering my 2nd build.
3rd one (powering my old build) is Seasonic as well: Focus PX-550 [SSR-550PX].

How do I run more than 4 passes?
I haven't used memtest86 for a while (last one was back in ~2012 or so) but if memory serves me correct, once you start it, it will go on indefinitely, where you need to manually stop the testing.

I ran this same test last night but when I woke up the pc was reset and I couldn’t find results anywhere.
Could be that there was main power outage (blackout) that killed the power to the PC. Thus resetting the PC and canceling the testing.
Proper UPS helps against main power grid issues.

Best to test each stick individually.

64 GB, so 4x 16GB? If so, did the RAM came in a set? Where all DIMMs were in one, sealed package? Or did you buy two sets of two? Or four individual DIMMs?
