[SOLVED] Game stuttering frequently and audio cutting off

I just came back from my vacation and booted on valorant to play some games and my game just kept freezing every 5 seconds for 1/2 seconds and the audio kept cutting off.
Playing other games, the same happens, and if I'm playing lighter games it doesn't freeze but the audio keeps cutting out

Cpu is ryzen 1600, gpu gtx 1060, 16gb of ram;
While I was experiencing these problems the cpu temp was on 80C and gpu 72C

I think the CPU temp is a bit on the high side.
You could try running with the case open....or adjusting the fan curve. 75C or less would be nice.
Check to see the cooler is snug.
What make and model PSU and how old?

Corsair cx550 and it's about 3.5years old

There are lots of things you can try.
You can power down and reseat everything ....plugs cards etc......even the CPU if you feel up to it.....but I usually reseat everything except the CPU (until later if I have to).
I would take out the CMOS battery while I was reseating everything in order to reset the BIOS and install it after I reseated everything.
You can try running with one memory stick if you are using multiple sticks.
You can try getting the CPU under 75C.
You can run HWinfo and look at the PSU voltages and see if they're acceptable (they need to stay within 5% of 12, 5 and 3.3).
You can try swapping in another PSU.

I had a similar issue and found out it was ram related. The racing game would freeze and audio would seem to just lock up. This would last for maybe 5-7 seconds each time, and would occur throughout the game. I forget if it was timing, or just faulty ram. I swapped in different ram and the issue I had has not returned. Might be worth a shot.
