Game to internet problem

Ok I have a problem with my new build. First here are the specs:

P4C800 deluxe
P4 3.0 OC to 3.7
OCZ PC4000 Gold
ATI 9800 pro
Antec True 550
SP94
80 mm tornado fan

The problem I have is after playing games. When I am done playing and I want to check my e-mail or surf for a few it won't hook up. It acts like the modem is not there. I have road runner right now. I have tried checking all the jumpers.

Could it be that I need to set the lan wake up jumper on?

I am at a loss of how to fix this.

Any help would be great!

Is the PCI bus pushed beyond 33.3 MHz?

No it sure isn't. I had the board set @ 20% overclock and checked that as well. I am really stumped.

Oh and at default I still have the problem.

Try reinstalling DirectX. SOunds like it might be a problem with the DirectX network drivers(actually, have no idea if it is, but sounds possible )
