I was just wondering if there were any miniature gamers in Thailand. And
if so, what periods do they game?

Not a lot. Some in Bangkok. Most are young people who play Warhammer
40.000 or fantasy. Big problem: how good is your Thai???? Most Thai
players speak English to a very limited extend.

I myself play[ed] Napoleonics (5mm), some board games and Wooden Ships
Iron man.

None that I know of. ;-(
I posted a few requests in soc.culture.thailand to see if people were
interested, but no replies.

Very, very few. I know only one, in Siam Discovery Centre. They sell
only Warhammer and some fantasy. There might be more shops, but
haven't found them. Prices are HIGH. Expect at least twice the US
price, if you are lucky. Mainly because of the very high import duties
on luxury goods.

I tried to convince the taxation department that war gaming is not a
luxury at all, but a necessity. Somehow they didn't believe me...
