Hi everyone,

I've recently build a new Ryzen rig, but the problem is that most of my games seem to be crashing and I don't know why. I've looking around the internet to see if anybody had a similar problem but I havent founda solution yet. Games like Wolfenstein, Doom on OpenGL(Vulkan Runs fine for some reason.) Shadow of Mordor and Overwatch all seem to be running fine with around 70fps with ultra settings then the game just crashes or freezes with no warning I still hear the sound but I cant do anything, the only way to get out of the game is to exit through task manager. Ive gone through two Ryzen cpus a Ryzen 5 1600x and Ryzen 7 1700 and three different motherboards Gigabyte A320-HD2, Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3 and Asus Crossair VI Hero. Im postive I all the right chipset drivers, drivers for my MB and GPU Drivers from Nvidia.

My Build:
MB: Asus Crosshair VI Hero AM4
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: EVGA Gtx 970
RAM: Cosair 16bg 3000mhz
PSU: EVGA 500w
HDD: 1tb

Thank you.

That's insane amount of changes. Ok what about directx? What version are you running? Do the dxdiag and check. Also, get Furmark and run it (while monitoring your temps on your gpu with something like hwinfo or hwmonitor) and see if it gives you the same issue. If yes, the issue is with your video card.

I am running DirectX12, I got furmark and ran a stress test for like an hour and it didn't crash my core temp was around 71 degrees for my Gpu.

PSU should be fine for your build assuming its working correctly.

Did you mention you went through a bunch of CPUs and mobos? Was the rest of the system the same throughout?

Yeah I had the same problem throughout all my CPUS and Mobos im guessing that maybe it's one bad stick of RAM that is causing my crashes but im not sure.
