Hello every one.

My Desktop PC specs are:
GPU: EVGA Nvidia Geforce 750 Ti (2GB DDR3)
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.40GHz
RAM: 10GB DDR3 (8Gb DDR3 + 2Gb Graphics card
OS: windows 7 Pro 64Bit

As of all these components are recomended for games like Dayz E.T.C i am lagging quite a bit, running at 30 FPS MAX when im not in citys, however in a city i run at 10-15. (Low Settings)

So if any one knows the problem/solution please tell me.

Thanks.

Your graphics card is decent, but your CPU is quite old. You might meet the requirements but it could be just the minimum, at least on the CPU department.

Aside of not being powerful enough for some games it can also bottleneck your graphics card. Use MSI afterburner and check on the CPU and GPU activity. If the CPU is always at 100% and your GPU is not doing much that will confirm what I just said.

Yes back in the day That was A good Quad core CPU but like said above your just meeting the requirements to run said games so performance and FPS is going to be lower even tho you have the 750 ti Gpu ITS MOST LIKELY YOUR cpu is holding you back... Now that same chip was also very overclockable back in the day as well and if this isn't a factory pc but one that was built for you .. you may be able to overclock it some to help compensate for the FPS and like said above MSI after burner you may be able to tweak your card for a few more FPS... bUT OTHER THEN THAT it is a older system and its struggling to keep up with the more demanding games maybe its time to build a new one.

ok thanks but couldnt i just buy a better cpu?

couldnt i just buy a better cpu

can i speak to you on skype or something?

Depending on your board you could upgrade but you still be a few generations behind in performance at this point you may see maybe 5% increase in speed hey I know what your saying I HAVE A OLDER Q9300 cpu and even with a radeon 7950 it still lacks in performace on newer games and yes theres a bit of bottlenecking there as well. But I got almost all my parts for that system for free so it is still viable for older games on it .. It only runs @ 2.5 Ghz but I have it overclocked to a big lol 2.8 ghz so depending how much money you want to put into the system you have to weight the costs of the upgrade verses the performance you will get from it.....
