NVidia makes several lines of card, all x10 thru x50 cards are for general use (like watching Youtube, reading email, etc.) with the x10 being the LOWEST PERFORMANCE. Any 'gaming card' starts at x60 thru x80, each being one level better than the last.
Secondly a AMD FX-8350 is NOT a "high end" system in 2017, in fact it was high end back in 2012-2013, but is 'on par' with a Intel i3 (entry level) CPU. So no you do NOT have a high end specs at all for a gaming PC. You will need to buy a serious GPU card (Nvidia 1060 6GB or better) to get performance out of it, but you will cap with the 2016+ AAA games as the FX-8350 will choke as compared to your 'friends' computer.
