Question Games are not smooth at all

Hello! So I bought my pc with 180hz lg monitor, and it doesnt feel smooth at all!
LG ultragear 27gl850 i'm ussing DP
Specs:
Rtx 3070 ti
Ryzen 5 5600x
16GB ram
All games installed on SSD

I’m still quite a novice to pc building but I believe sometimes when you buy a monitor it’s set to 60hz out the box, if you right-click your desktop and go to Display settings > Advanced display settings you can change the hz of the monitor which I believe can sometimes make a big difference.
