Games Break computer

When i run a game or update, my whole internet crashs, like my phone and other divices cant use internet either but it still says they can but the computer has the little yellow triangle. I think it may be a virus and i might just wipe my ssd but i dont want to loose all of my data, because maybe its a router issue. Plz Help me.

CPU- AMD FX-8350
GPU- GTX 1070
Ram- 8gb of corsair vengence
Mobo- MSI 970 gaming mobo
PSU- Corsair CX750M

That sounds more like a wiring problem, a virus will just be blocked by the firewall in the router. Call your provider for a check-up.

A computer virus can not cause an issue with your other devices.

1 of two things is happeneing:
1) your router is freezing durring the update
2) your inernet service is freezing (could be modem or other issue)

When the internt crashes on you, go to a different computer and ping the IP of the desktop. If it does it in a ms or less the issue is not your router.
