games continuously freezing

i have this issue where all the games i play either freeze up a lot at the beginning of the session and then get bettter later on or are just continuously freezing, but i get good fps(60 to 70). i'm unsure if this is due to my graphics card, vram or processor or what it is but i could use some help... a little side not, when the games freeze, its just the games, the system works fine.

my pc specs:
OS: windows 10 64 bit
Memory: 4gb
Processor: intel core i5 m520 2.40gHz (4 CPU's)
Graphics: intel hd graphics
Total available Video Memory: 1559mb
Dedicated Video Memory: 64mb

What games are you playing? Integrated graphics are typically crap and not good for games. If this is a desktop PC I'd highly suggest getting a discrete GPU.

im trying to play league of legends, and im on a laptop so i cant really just get a new graphics card, i'd just like to know whats causing the issue so that i can address it better

The cause is your graphics card. It's not made for gaming. You can try to turn your in-game graphics settings to low, but you're obviously sacrificing aesthetics for performance.
