Games crash to desktop on startup

Whenever i try to start game at 2560x2048(ac origin or far cry 5) it crashes to desktop as soon as load is put into gpu, then i lower res to 1280x1024 it still happems but at second attremlt it resolves on ac origins and resolves for far cry 5 at first try, i then can reset the res to 2560x2048 with no prob, but will repeat agagin if i start my pc after a shutdown

I think your problem might be driver related. Btw are you serious about the resolution. 2560x2048 sounds odd to me, it's more likely 2560x1440.

1. Remove the old driver using DDU (display driver uninstaller) use the recommended setting with restart
2. Download and install the latest NVIDIA gpu driver for your gpu and do a clean install without using the old configurations/profiles
3. Try again if the problem still persists

That res is actually dsr for.my really old monitor
Actually utbwas msi afterburners osd that was messing, disabling that resolved it,
