Games crashing after adding more memory

I had 8 gb of ram and I just added 8 more of the same make and model. After I upgraded my games would crash to the desktop after a few minutes. The ram was recognized and seemed to be running at the right speed and timings. I tried taking it out and everything is rock solid again. What's going on? Is there more I needed to do in the bios?

Sounds like they don't want to play, happens all the time (and why not a good ideam to mix packages of DRAM - even the same exact model) What is the model of the DRAM and what mobo and CPU? We can try a couple of adjustments to get them to play

Your cpu might have bad memory controller and can't handle 4 sticks, you could try lowering ram speeds or overclocking the memory controller.
