Hi.

So I got a brand new PC about 2 weeks ago. When I put it together, I started playing some games ( played AC:O). Gameplay was fine and all until about an hour in, when it hit me with the first game crash. I treated it as a normal game crash and launched the game again.

To my surprise, +/- 10 into gameplay the game crashed without any warning or error. I tried again and again, but same issue occurred. I got fed up and thought it may be a problem with the game.

So I launched up a new game and it also crashed about 10 minutes in.

I got frustrated and did all troubleshooting steps
-virus/malware scan
- drivers up to date
-disabled background applications
- done multiple clean reboots
-disabled all overlays
-reinstalled games

After all those steps, games were still crashing constantly.

So i decided to factory reset my pc, removing even the OS.

After that, problem persists

TL;DR - games constantly crashing after multiple tries of troubleshooting. And I am drawn to the fact that it has something to do with my hardware.

So, if you can provide me ways to diagnose the problem and/or problematic component, then I’ll be extremely ecstatic.

Thanks very much!

bios up to date?
check cpu/gpu temp?

did see any good review on the psu

Yea, bios is updated to a version from late April this year.

CPU is at <75 degrees
GPU is at <65 degrees

So, I doubt the temperature is causing the problems. But as Jankerson stated, it’s probaly my PSU causing the problems. I just need some extra confirmation before I replace it

Hi.

So I created a thread recently (https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/games-crashing-on-new-pc.3498321/) asking why my games were crashing constantly, a reply stated that my Raidmax Power supply was the issue.
Is this true and can it really limit my pc?
If I get a better PSU, will it stop the crashing ?

Thanks so much for helping!!
It not the game that is crashing, but rather the actual PC is crashing.
And yes, a bad power supply can do that.
RAIDMAX is a bad power supply. Change it.
