[SOLVED] Games crashing to desktop

I recently built a new computer and have been having issues with my games crashing to desktop. When looking at the error logs for these games I can see they are crashing because of an access violation and the referenced memory could not be read/written. The crashes seem to be spaced out randomly but will happen multiple times within a ~5 minute window. If playing multiple games at the same time one will crash and then seconds later the other one will crash. When looking in event viewer and reliability history it does not show anything at the time of the crash. I have tried the following steps to resolve this issue:

Reinstall the games that are crashing

removed and re-installed GPU drivers

Reseated GPU, Ram and CPU

updated chipset and motherboard bios

ran memtest86 for 12 passes (no errors)

reinstalled windows on a new harddrive

tried running with one stick of ram at a time (this seemed to have lengthen the time between crashes)

completely replaced the memory with a new set

changed ram timings, ghz and voltage in BIOS

repeated steps above, remove/reinstalled gpu drivers, ran memtest, reseated all components, etc.

Is this occurring pretty frequently? Since you have two8s, run one memory stick at a time and see what happens. If that doesn't work, for both sticks, loosen your memory timings and see if that makes any difference.

The WOW crash is trying to access "0xffffffffffffffff" which is the maximum possible value for a 64bit system. Something very screwy going on. How much RAM does windows report? You've tested the RAM with no errors. Have you got the XMP loaded or is the RAM at default speed?

With no apparent errors in Reliability History and Event Viewer use Resource Monitor and Process Explorer to observe system performance. (Note you may need to download Process Explorer via Microsoft's website.)

Another thing to do is to check the game's hardware requirements to your system's hardware specs. Most games list some minimal, recommended, and best hardware requirement. You do not want minimum and you do want as much best as you can afford.

Especially if you are trying to run multiple games at once.

Which may be problematic just as a matter of practice. Very likely some conflict is occurring between the games and once one game crashes taking down needed resources then the other games crash as a result. Domino effect.

I very rarely play two games at the same time and when I did it was only world of warcraft and runescape which is not a very taxing game. Both games will crash by themselves and I'm pretty sure I have the required hardware to play runescape at least. The only reason I brought it up was because I thought it was interesting that both games would crash within a 10 second window. While viewing Resource monitor and performance in task manager nothing is out of the ordinary when the crashes occur.

It's not the amount of resources that is the issue. It's that two applications are arguing over the SAME resources. The application has to be designed to share resources (it's not all up to Windows). Games generally demand your full attention, so games are not coded to share resources they use with other games, since that is (almost) never an issue.

Okay! I'll stop trying to run them at the same time while troubleshooting. They are all still crashing when it's the only game running though.

What is the error you receive when running a single game? Are they crashing to the desktop, or crashing the computer?
The error I receive is the same as when I ran multiple games. Access violation, Memory could not be read/written. The errors in the first post are actually from when I was running them one at a time. All the games are crashing to desktop. I've only had one bluescreen and it seemed to be an issue with a headset or audio driver. View: https://imgur.com/a/MWFUHfC
I disabled that device but the games are still crashing. I'm not sure if it fixed the bluescreen issue because it's only happened once.

The games will crash 2 or 3 times in a roughly 5 minute period. These periods of crashing seem to be random but happen usually 3 or 4 times an hour. I have tried running one stick at a time on my current set of ram and my old two sticks. I'll loosen the memory timings when I get home and see if that makes any difference!
