I have this problem most with GTA V and Far Cry 3, where they will crash with lines going down my screen. Usually they are grey but I've seen other colours. This results in either the games just crashing (GTA V gives Failed Initialization error), OR my computer will just turn off and restart. This is the most common occurrence.
I can tell when the games are going to crash, because my monitors will flicker very quickly a few times, then a minute or so later it will crash.
It happens rarely when I'm playing Battlefield 4, but I've noticed that only Far Cry 3 and GTA V use 100% GPU most of the time, while BF4 is being held back by my CPU, using only about 60% of my GPU.
My temps are FINE, at least the ones that sensors can read, but since it only happens when my GPU is under full load (which consumes a lot of power), leads me to believe that this is a PSU problem.
I have been having OTHER problems that relate to the PSU as well, such as my fans won't turn off when I put it is sleep mode, and nothing on screen when I turn it on sometimes.
Anyway, my specs are:
AMD FX-6300 CPU
AMD R9 270X GPU
AsRock 960GM/U3S3 FX Motherboard
8GB Kingston HyperX RAM
1TB WD Blue HDD
and a Corsair VS650 PSU (No 80 plus rating)
